CaliClean - The new CaliVita product family

Everybody does it a different way.

The nightmare of spring cleaning will be present for housewives from March onwards. It therefore makes sense to plan ahead and purchase necessary equipment and maybe hire help. It is also time to consider cleaning in a different way.

How and WITH WHAT do we clean?

Some people are compulsive cleaners, not tolerating a single crumb on the kitchen worktop surface. Most people give a thorough clean to the entire apartment or house on a weekly basis. However, there are the occasional cleaners such as: bachelors, students and others, who during hectic weekdays cannot find the time to fight against dust bunnies.

This is not to say that those who indulge in very frequent and enthusiastic cleaning are better off. We should perhaps mention here that an overly sterile environment is not good for children. This is due to the fact that part of our immune system consists of naturally acquired immunity through encountering pathogens and acquiring protection against them. Furthermore, the most frequently used cleaning supplies contain chemical active ingredients and these substances may cause instant injuries, allergies, rashes, and inflammation of mucous membranes or even asthma. Among the long-term effects of chemicals is irreversible damage to health.

Cleaning supplies containing dangerous substances are equally harmful to people and the environment. Chemicals poured into the sink, toilet and entering the sewer, slow down the natural cleansing processes, as they destroy bacteria necessary for purifying water. Most sewage settling and cleaning systems are not built to process chemicals, therefore if dangerous household waste exits the system in its original form, it may be harmful to living and subsoil waters.

SO, HOW SHOULD WE CLEAN?

Clean regularly with environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and ideally as soon as soiled surfaces are noticeable. Fat burnt on stoves or ingrained limescale on bathroom tiles can only be completely removed through hard physical work, or as a last resort the tiles themselves have to be replaced. However, the level of effectiveness of environmentally friendly cleaning supplies may fall below traditional cleaning substances containing dangerous compounds. Therefore, if we carry out regular and intensive cleaning, we will reduce the risk of us polluting our environment with strong chemicals.

Cleaning is not enjoyed by many people it would be ideal if we could all afford to pay for our own private cleaner. However, not everyone is comfortable with an outsider entering their private zone to do the cleaning. Therefore, it is worth reconsidering our approach to cleaning and look for the greenest methods possible. Remember, no cleaning substance does a perfect job unless we clean our home regularly.
